Find the love of my life.
Step two:
Well, I think step one is going to be a big enough challenge for now. I’ve always been a daydreamer, and a romantic too. I love adventure and intrigue, and have been drawn to professions that provide large doses daily. My mind wanders on and on into unique details hidden in the ring and elaborate details of the wedding celebrations. I am resolved, though, to live my own life and be content if God has no true love for me here. I should pursue life, and love everything in it.
I proposed over an episode of The Simpsons.
My decision to propose to my eventual wife coincided with the release of the third season of The Simpsons on DVD. And since we’d already been joking to one another that she was the Marge to my Homer, I popped one of the discs into the DVD player and we started watching the episode in which they flash back to when Homer proposed.
After Homer proposed, I stopped the disc, and followed suit.
Needless to say, she said yes, and she can’t think of any better I could’ve done it!
I was thinking of doing it like this on the bank of the River Neva in Russia:
well, I have a couple of ideas brewing; I actually think they are okay ideas, but I’m not going to share them. I don’t trust you not to use them!!!
