Win a trophy

I have won all kinds of ribbons in high school, awards in college and various other forms of recognition but just now have I finally won an actual trophy. With my motorcycle, got 3rd place in an open class event.

I won 3 trophies in junior high: a team trophy for volleyball, fourth place in a French Language competition, and first runner up for a speech contest. It’s sort of silly to keep them around, but I still find them inspiring. Maybe because I did NOT win first place in any of those fields, and yet I still got to take home a prize for my hard work. :)

Growing up I won different academic trophies. In my 20s, I won trophies in racquetball tournies.

It’s worth it, but in the end, it’s all worthless and momentary.

For a modeling pageant. I got 3. One for placing in the top 10, one for 1st runner up (second place ain’t bad), and one for 1st place in the talent portion. Yay me!

Girls singles at my local club and it was in my very first year playing for that club!

Back in high school I won a trophy for a poem that I wrote and another one for a speech that I wrote.

I won coaches awards for track and cross country

Ok, so I have already won a trophy in 8th grade for third place in a toothpick bridge building contest. My bridge held the third most weight before breaking. That was so long ago, I don’t think it counts anymore—I want to win another one… in anything.

I got an Outstanding Defense Attorney trophy. I was so excited because I’ve worked so hard and I’ve tried to go above and beyond the call of duty. It’s a great feeling getting recognition for hard work
