Okay, so the last time I wrote about situps was a year ago. But since I started doing Wii Fit a few months ago, I’ve been doing the Jacknife program, and on a good day I’m up to 30-40 Jacknives (Jacknifes?) on a good day. Not in a row, of course, I have a little 1 minute break in between each set of 10 or 20, but still: it’s better than I was doing. And since Wii Fit is moderately fun and it’s within the confines of my own home, I’ll probably be keeping it up. So we’ll see how many I can do by Christmas.
I started working on 100 pushups today as well, and am using the http://hundredpushups.com program to achieve that. I figured if the program can help me reach 100 pushups, maybe I can use it for situps too.

Not bad for having done next to no physical activity in a while. I’m expecting to get much better soon.
To me, this is both a small goal (100 situps might only take a few minutes to actually do) and a big goal, because to accomplish 100 situps at one time, you have to do all the other things right … eat well, exercise regularly, get a good amount of rest.

Only seventeen, that’s pretty sad. When I was a kid I could do 50 situps in a row, and I couldn’t do any pushups. Today, I can do more pushups than situps? What happened? (Aside from a bit more of a belly…) This one’s going to be harder than I thought.
i’m also doing yoga and pilates classes at the gym 3 times a week. hope all of this helps flatten my belly!

Ugh, this brings back bad childhood memories of taekwondo. They’d shout at us all the time and we’d have to do 100 situps in February in a building without heat. But I was super-fit for it.
