(What is RSS?)Used Shaune’s formats to devise my own reflective log – an amalgam of the prompts and ideas. Tried it out by writing about an incident at work – really helped to tease out the important aspects (much more than the nartrative version I’d written earlier)and identify future action.
Did this again for course I attended on Friday – again, pulled out some key actions and future possiblities from the learning/reflection I did.
Got info this week from Shaune on cpd protfolio which has inspired me to put together a folder and decide what sections I need. Will need to put aside some time to start putting things in..
Mentioned this to Shaune on the phone the other day & she’s gonna send me an article that she found useful when she was doing her O.T. CPD portfolio.
I take my CPD seriously and have always been proactive about it at work. New policy from my dept re CPD, and they are talking about us putting together a CPD portfolio. I’m really excited by this thought – would be a great way to recognise and validate the different ways that I keep my professional knowledge and skills up-to-date. How far should I go back? I will need to talk to my friend Shaune, who does a CPD portfolio as part of her OT training/job…
