How I did it: So basically, I did a search at my local community college for CPR for Health care providers and voila! There it was just for me. And I signed up for the class. I was so lucky because there was only 1 seat left in the class when i signed up for it.
Anyways, I got to the class and I was there for...6hours? 9am-2:30pm So about 5 and a half hours to 6 and it was nice because the people there were nice, the professors were helpful and I feel like I learned a lot. I mean I REALLY feel like I learned alot. And we worked on our own individual dummy and we learned positions using each other as partners but or course, we didn't actually do the the maneuvers on each other.
So I'm glad I did it, and I would suggest the class to anyone BUT if you're not going to be a healthcare provider, please please pLEASE take the layperson's CPR as a lot of what we learned in the class, the tools that were used would really only be present if you're in a hospital or emergency kind of setting. Clinics, hospital, EMT, stuff like that. So take the layperson's class. It's shorter, it's easier, it's cheaper, it's BETTER if you're not going to be a health care provider. Just.my.opinion.
