(don't) take a number

it seems that nowadays no one goes anywhere alone
maybe people are so social they wouldn’t even imagine having to do things solitary
i’m a pretty outgoing and social girl
but i want to experience a whole day by myself
just going out to the movies or to dinner or shopping
i don’t want to invite someone i don’t really want to go with, just so that i don’t look so lonely
i’d rather be alone than cling to people i don’t care about
so this is something i must do
