Except for those images that come to my mind unexpectedly. Sometimes those images don’t seem to make sense. A few times they make sense. Like seeing a circle of diamonds with a 500 in the middle and then a few minutes later my friend informs me that he won the bid for a Diamond 500 player. It only makes sense once I know what it represents. In that instance, I didn’t even know the person had made a bid and did not know what a Diamond 500 player was.
It seems much easier for me to imagine than to visualize. It seems easier to feel and sense than to see.

Well, the goal I was visualizing changed over the course of the week, so it wasn’t as powerful as I had hoped. I also found myself wanting to get out of it… and I only had a goal of one measly little minute per day. Why is that so hard? Anyway, I spent 10 minutes on a visualization just now and it was very peaceful and powerful. I would like to continue learning how to use visualization more effectively and maybe even take a class in meditation someday. I think the best thing for me to do is come up with one goal to visualize and one particular visualization to use and then repeat that over and over during a period of a few weeks or so. I know that repetition is the key to success.

At least once a day for one week. One minute each day. Keep the goal small and we’ll see how it goes. I’ll keep track of it in my day planner.
