I can’t draw worth a damn, but I’m going to try. It’s not a necessity, but it’d be fun to try.
How I did it: It's hard for me to get motivated when I come home from work to do anything but make some dinner and veg in front of the TV/computer. I've started just turning everything off and drawing on the weekends without any end goal. I used to always get hung up on WHAT I was drawing, but now I just doodle and mess around until I think of something worthwhile. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I'm going to say I achieved this goal, because it's kind of hard to NOT draw a whole lot when you've got art classes 6 days a week, 18 hours total. In one class alone I've been doing 10 18x24 size-ish drawings a session. Gesture, yes, but it's still a drawing. Read how I did it…

I have so many ideas in my mind but they never turn out the way I want them to when I draw them on paper. So, I get discouraged and stop drawing for a few months then I get the urge to draw again and it goes well for the first day. Then I start to suck and I get discouraged and stop drawing for months and the process just repeats itself.
But I have a solution!! I’m actually in the mood to draw right now but I just don’t feel like it…?

I rarely draw, and I need the practice. I love the results, usually, but once I finish a picture, it is usually 3-4 months before I’ll do something else. I’d like to get to the point where I can draw something or someone as they sit before me. Right now, I have to have a printed picture to go by.

I’ve been drawing a lot over the past couple weeks, and going to try to keep it up. I’ve joined a flickr group which I’m finding very inspiring, so I’m going to be using my lunch breaks to leave work and draw urban settings. I wish I could draw even more, but I have to balance it out with other things too. I recently decided that drawing is one of my biggest priorities and I think that’s key to making time for it.

I don’t think I’ve done very well with this goal overall since I don’t draw consistently. I am drawing again though.

I’m so busy caregiving I can’t even keep my business up the way it should be. I need to replace some of these “free time” goals with goals that will actually give me free time

Here’s a small little sketch I did while brainstorming. There’s another similar one over here:

“Everytime I start to draw, I lose inspiration, and the will to draw about thirty minutes into it. I've only ever finished one or two pictures. Any ideas on what to do? :/”
