sort my jewellery

I took in two sets of earrings in for professional cleaning today.

This has been on my to-do list for several months. My jewellery needs attention and it needs to be displayed in a more accessible place than the bottom of my laptop case in a couple of travel pouches (because of my travels but also because it was the safest place for some time, but mostly because of my procrastination). The result of this is that I never wear any jewellery and what would the purpose be of keeping things I don’t use? So I’d better get on with it. I bought a lovely jewellery box some weeks ago but it still remains in its box from the store. Some of the silver pieces got tarnished during the years in Ghana due to the humidity and require proper cleaning (and that’s been on my to-do list for at least two years), so I plan to sort through the pieces and take those that need cleaning in to be cleaned, buy batteries for the watches that can’t be used because the batteries stopped months/years ago, and fill the jewellery box. The travel pouches should only be used for travel purposes in the future and not for permanent storage.
