be a great mom

I’m working on figuring out a schedule for my two month old baby. I want to try the Combination Parent-Led/Baby-Led Schedule approach.

So far, I’ve just been going on demand. But I need to regain my life back so I hope to get her on a good schedule by 3 months.

This week I’m keeping track of how often she feeds, naps and poos in an excel spreadsheet! I’ll look for patterns there and then starting next week I’ll try to regulate it.

She already sleeps through the night and demands her bath at 7 pm every night. So I don’t think it will be too hard to get her on a regular schedule!

Friday I took Jonathan and Hallie to Universal Studios for the day. I was unable to really participate because my neck was killing me. My shoulder/neck muscles had a major knot/cramp whatever…it hurt. I took them anyway. I hurt in bed or out of bed, so I might as well have fun with the kids, right. I put the kids on a ride then I would wait for them at the exit while reading my book. I finished The Alchemist and started reading Blood Junction.

We stayed until the the park closed. They had a good time. Jonathan is so responsible when dealing with Hallie. He is just the best big brother ever. We all had a good time.

It was fun for her. I studied nursing books, she had fun. It worked out fine, other than some people had a baby that seriously needed a diaper change. they were upwind.

Yay. It will be fun.

I am having a hard time cultivating a positive relationship with her. She has OCD, but I think there may be more to it than that. Or maybe, she is just a very very difficult person to raise. I don’t know.

It was really great because we hung out together all day, and ate lunch together. I had a really good time and I love her so much.

Heather’s vocal teacher has been chatting with the student before her for 15 minutes after session each week. This made my daughter’s lesson 15 minute late for weeks and weeks. I called today to say that I was confused about what time I was supposed to be there since at 5:00, they were never ready. The secretary said that Heather was still getting her full lesson time, and did not apologize. Geeez! Some people. Anyway, I did it. Yeah me-super mom.

Then I noticed that her pill box had two pills in it. She didn’t take any of her medication. Okay, who is to blame here? I get really bad marks in the great mom department. I moved the pill box to the kitchen table. Perhaps we won’t forget…

We both enjoyed it, but I had to drag her there!

She is addicted to the computer. I got her to go outside and spend some time with me. We both had fun.
