Make a new list for 2008

Tarrador has found the house I want, now must win the bid

Satisfied 17 months ago

Although I am sure the list is not complete, I have made for myself a list that is for me realistic, purposeful, and encouraging. Everything I have on here I should be able to do this year. I may add a few new things, but I really want to focus on the initial things I listed, knock them off, and start organizing new goals for the next year.

Two weeks in and I have a grand total of 34 things. I’m okay with that because they are real, achieveable, and managable. I can sit down and in a few minutes remind myself of where I am and where I want to be. Ideally this list will be reduced to zero by the end of the year, so maybe I don’t need to overburden it with unrealistic ambitions.

I kinda like that most of my list has a “1 person is doing this” moniker. That means the goal is immediate and personal to me. It is relatable to me so there is a greater chance I can achieve it.

Starting anew 18 months ago

I have been looking over my list and realizing that I could make better use of it if it were more immediate and personal to me in my everyday life. With the new year I am coming at this with a new list of dreams and expectations. Some of my old “wants” are really long-term things, and there are other places on this site to keep those. I want this list to be a “to do” list of things to keep me motivated and moving forward for the year. So I am chucking some goals (especially those with no entries from me), rewriting others to be more direct, and creating new ones that meet my ambitions for 2008.
