I first learned about these 20 years ago when watching Joseph Campbell & The Power of Myth.
Seems to me that there is a common thread between what I have learned about Campbell and Mythology; NLP, Mind-Mapping and other forms of “Self-Improvement”.
I want to create something to assist my own sense of self-awareness and personal consciousness / understanding. I am an artistic moron, so I will have to be satisfied with the usual pencil scratches!
But I do WANT MEANING! That is what I strive for.

I’d like to read up on the meaning and such first, but I doubt there would be an English language book on it at the library here. Another one that’s on hold for now.

I did this as part of a psychology assignment… now mind you I am not an artist, and we weren’t required to adhere strictly to any traditional style of mandala. So the goal that most of you are probably aiming for would be a far cry from my little painting… but I still enjoyed learning about mandalas in that course, and it meant something to me.
I have only just moved house and am yet to access it after moving, so I will take a picture and paste it up soon.

Drew a little small one, and it was good to do. There is always something calming about drawing a circle—and there was also something nice about picking up a pencil and sketching. Haven’t done it for years, but doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be happening.

I don’t even remember why I added this one to my list but now that it’s on here I really want to do this. It’s one of those nice meditative things that one should do every once in a while.
