the single month I spent in Ireland was dedicated to reading this novel; and boy was it worth it. hands down, my favorite book of all time. watch ‘bloom’ with angelica huston after you’ve read it… it puts the book into perspective. (accurately, too.)

Working on this, I’m 85 pages in but it’s near to impossible to find the time. :(
I am determined to finish it this year though.

The book everyone speaks about and none actually read. I stopped at page 120 (italian edition) and never found the strenght to go further.

This is another one of those long books that everybody talks about but nobody seems to have read. I read War and Peace and Anna Karenina quite a long time ago, managed David Copperfield and The Brothers Karamazov, so I figure I can handle Ulysses. The question, of course, is once I’ve managed Ulysses will I be able to manage Finnegan’s Wake?

I read this on a holiday on a Greek island – it’s one of the most amazing things I have ever read, the use of language is breathtaking, the imagery stunning and the stream-of-conciousness finale a ral tour-de-force.

Plus, it’s one of those books that everybody fights shy of… go for it.
