Learn something new and useful everyday

I haven’t been very productive with this goal, I am sure I have learned things, especially about food, organic farming, the big bad food industry, but I haven’t been able to properly track them, and haven’t taken it too seriously. I’m gonna give it up for now, maybe come back to it later in the year when I have knocked off some other goals.

1. White eggs only come from chickens with white feathers and brown eggs only come from chickens with brown feathers.

2. Canola oil is actually a marketing name for rapeseed oil. Produced in Canada, the name was changed to can (Canada) ola (oil)to make it more consumer friendly. Canada is the largest producer of canola oil in the world.

3. Hawaii does not have a state police force or a Department of Motor Vehicles. These needs are met by the counties, of which there are only five over all the islands.

I’m going to keep a daily notebook of these things, and post a breif list here one a week. This can be about anything, from the how long it takes an egg to boil to how fast the polar ice caps are melting. I just want it to be as useful to me as it is new and interesting.
