How I did it: We took a Mediterranean cruise that stopped over in Alexandria, then took a shore excursion that took us to Cairo (3 hours away), where it went to the Giza pyramids and Sphynx. Lessons & tips: Shop around cruise websites. Resources: Google

How I did it: Fly to Cairo. Go downtown to the where all the buses are. Get in a minivan that claims it is going to Giza. How I did it: Well it was my honeymoon, so all we needed to do was book the tickets! We organised a tour as you get to see more in a short space of time, and its safer to travel in a group around Egypt. How I did it: The pyramids were really cool to see. The great pyramids at Giza were wonderful but such a pain to try and navigate. The locals that are in your face wanting money are awful!! How I did it: Vacation to Dubai, Cairo, and Sharm El-Sheikh. Fly into Cairo and stayed at Mena House Oberoi which has beautiful views of the pyramids from balconies in your rooms, but it is overpriced. (not recommended overall) It was a short walk to the pyramids from there. Read how I did it…

I guess it’s actually gonna happen. I booked the flights and hotels today. Going to spend 5 days in Egypt and see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the National Museum, the Valley of the Kings, and have dinner with my wife on a Nile Cruise.
