Just got back from a quick trip to UK…dropped by Loch Ness, and was inspired by all the kitschy imagery of “Nessie”, so I worked out a sketch of my own and then carved it on a small 3” x 5” block of linoleum when I got back. Not really my style/subject matter, but I kinda dig it.
Think this one was a bit regressive…different cut patterns…subject: my wife…nevertheless, part of the learning process…and the one I’m midway through right now is pretty good…so I’ll buckle down and not give in to the frustration that I felt when I first finished this one…
Got into printmaking over the Xmas break. Gonna see if I can really improve over the course of a year. I’ve been messing around with Mexican Day of the Dead skeletons, all in various stages of revelry…
