This is mostly for watching TV from hulu, etc., managing my iTunes library, syncing the iPhone, and playing casual games… all from the comfy couch downstairs.
Boy howdy it’s teeny.

I love my Mini! I’ve had it over a year now and it still hums along. Definitely worth the cost… though skip a Mac wireless mouse… the damn thing eats batteries.
finally getting a Mac after wanting one for years. This one will serve as the household mediacenter, hooked up to the tv and receiver. I might even be able to stream my netflix to my tv now! can’t wait for it to get here.
I’m going for a laptop now, and it’ll be my next computer purchase within the next year. Definitely a mac :-)
Well, sort of. I got an iMac, and love it. Wife can’t imagine ever going back to Windows, and while my first love is Linux, there are some things that are just wonderfully easy on the Mac (dealing with my photos being one of them). Get a Mac!
And there it sits. I’ve cleaned up the desk a bit further and now it is quietly doing its job while the power strip lurks on the floor behind the desk. Transfer from my old Cube went like a charm, took about an hour to swap over some 30 gigs. Upgraded the software, registered the AppleCare plan and now I’m ready to rock. I have a few ideas of things I’d like to do now that I have this - podcasting and the like - and will think about it…
this goal is more of a materialistic goal, but I think it’d be useful for me. I don’t have a computer of my own, I don’t have a lot of space, I’ll be going to graduate school soon so I’ll need someting for papers and such, it’s really really cheap, and I’d be able to get a brand new one with the fancy Dual Core thing(s) for about $400. This is definitely something that is not an absolute necessity, but would be helpful in the long run. And, it is aesthetically pleasing. It’s a little box.
