Grrrrrr! 6 days ago

I can’t seem to even fit 5 minutes in a day for reading for some reason.

I really need to crack on with this goal!

Diamondlightfoot you seem to do so well compared to me!

well, it’s better than nothing. I had a little of my lunch break back and didn’t find any reading time when I got home. I went to bed instead, darn me. I’ll make it up today, though.

yay! 2 weeks ago

I got my hour in yesterday. Fingers crossed I can do it again today.

time in! 2 weeks ago

I got time in for the last three days in a row. Now to figure out when I can get some done today…it’ll have to be after work, I think. I have to run on my lunch break.

I’m going to make a serious effort to get in all my reading time this week!

My book was boring. 1 month ago

I was reading New Moon and realised i just struggled to read it for an hour a day.
I have moved on to The Hobbit now so hopefully that will help me with this goal.

Help? 1 month ago

So for this entry i have decided to figure out my excuses for why i can’t complete this goal and then write ways to sort out that problem. I don’t understand why i am finding this goal probably one of the hardest on my list as it is so simple to complete…

Not enough time.
This is a lie. I waste alot of the day slobbing out on the sofa doing nothing. I think i should try doing this goal in the morning before Stewart wakes up and distracts me.

Book is too boring.
Move on then. Find a better book.

*I’m busy.
Do what i need to do as soon as possible then i have freedom to read whenver i want.

So starting tomorrow i need to push aside what i have written in the past. I shall read for an hour before bed – For certain.

How i will deal with this goal.... 2 months ago
  1. I need to be sure to read when ever i can. I think this can be done by carrying the book with me constantly. I know i probably have around an hour a week free if i took the book on bus journeys and in the bathroom/Bath. While i am waiting for food to cook. If i am watching TV – read in the commercial breaks.
  2. I need to go to bed earlier. I think i shall aim to go to bed 11.00 – 11.30 the latest and read for as long as possible. In the past when i have done this, it has also helped my quality and quantity of sleep.
  3. Read something that appeals to me. There is no point for instance – My boyfriend reading a beauty book. He doesn’t care! So for me it would be best to stick to chick lit and comedies. This way i wont lose interest as easily or at all.

Lastly i just wanted to post – I want to do this until i feel like i have made great progress with my other reading goals. I need to read 8 books in the next 3 months so this goal will certainly be a great help.

No Reading Has Been Done... 2 months ago

Its starting to bug me now. I always seem some what occupied doing something different. Then i stay up so late i fall asleep as soon as i get to bed. Reading makes me sleepy so i want to read an hour before i plan to go to sleep.

I will try harder to do this goal today. For one i don’t plan to leave the house so that makes things much better.

finally! 3 months ago

I got in an hour’s reading time already today, and will likely take more. I have things around here I need to do first, though, darn it.
