learn card tricks

Because I keep putting it off!

Because it’s really fun and such a simple form of entertainment

Now I need to learn at least 4 more. Card trickSSSSS.

and my daughter acts as his assistant,so I make sure to tell them not to tell how they are done. It is part of the magicians oath or something? ;) Anyway, I act as the audience when they practice and I let them know when I can see stuff I’m not supposed to. You can buy all kinds of special trick decks but they are only good for one or two tricks. My favs are the ones you can do with a regular old deck of 52 cards. We were on the train from L.A. to New Mexico and all of the kids were hanging out in the car with all the skylight windows taking in the view( oh look a cactus,oh look rocks, oh look a cactus zzz)not really they were all playing gameboys and cards. So ADD Boy did some Origami and card tricks. This one little girl had a deck with zoo animals on it so the cards had a right side unlike playing cards you turn the red or blue part end to end and there is not a top or bottom.I made sure all of the pictures were organized so the animals were all facing heads up at the top. I had someone pick a card,then slowly rotated the deck without them knowing so that that was the only card when I asked them to replace it was upside down. I just fanned the cards out and look for it and spotted it right away! Once again I was the coolest Mom in the World!( or at least that Amtrak train )

Have started…What’s needed is consistent practise…Will have to develop a good patter..else even the best trick seems soo boring and lifeless…Should be picking up 3 new tricks every week…And the flourishes!!

i wanna do some tricks that really amaze people around me… don like simple trick that the others can simply predict the secret behind it..

card tricks now. 1 is just really stupid, but 2 of them are really good. I might try and learn some more difficult ones sometime, but for now I’m happy with the ones I’ve learned.

I bookmarked some websites that teach you card tricks. So as soon as I have alittle extra time I’ll see about reading them and giving it a try.
