I’m reading the last of the series.
I’m finished and really enjoyed it. Sad to see the series end.

After promising myself an entire year that I would finally get to reading HP VI, I had a mate buy it for me while she was in London and I sat down and finally read the bloody book in one sitting (I stayed up until 4am to do so but….).
It wasn’t my favourite book of the series, but the plot had basically been ruined for me beforehand so not much of the major climax was a surprise to me. I’m also liking the development of the characters less and less as I feel JKR is writing with less “flair” as she did with the explosive book 1. She’s writing for the media now.
But I still think you should read the book – I think everyone should read the series because it might not be wonderful literature but it is entertaining and certainly a piece of modern culure.
Plus, even if we dont like the books in the middle…who doesn’t want to know what happens in the end???
I did not enjoy this book as much as the previous one, although it WAS really interesting. Am i getting too old? :P
You have not read this yet!? Are you mad!? Great book, don’t know how you can stand not having read it yet. :)
listen, if your a harry potter fan you just have to keep on reading the series until there just isnt anything left to read. This book was not my favourite of the series – it was still fantastic (my true favourite is ‘Goblet of fire’ – the movie is out soon!! yay!! But yeah it was a great read, a marathon but fun…
I was surprised to the point of shock at least twice this time.. but unlike the previous couple, I was mostly able to keep myself from staying up through the night reading from the 5th chapter on (probably because I have an actual job now and can’t afford to be a zombie while at work).
This was a great book! Maybe I’d remember some more about it if I hadn’t super-skim-read it in five hours.
