I’m marking this as done. It took me several months to finally release the books I set up BCIDs for. I’m kind of ashamed of them, some were romances, basically they were books I didn’t want to keep. As soon as I get some of the duplicates of books I really love registered on the site I’ll feel a lot better about this.

I have a stack of books, all with BCIDs set up for them, I just need to go for a walk and not stop until my bag is empty. I live near schools, churches and parks. I should be able to do this. It’s a nice excuse for a walk, though I shouldn’t need one.
I just moved and found several books that we have duplicates of. A couple of them are my favorites and I would love to be able to introduce someone else to them.
I may start doing this at work. just leave a few books, one at a time, after I finish them. if it’s, you know, not a book I need to keep. I hav a spare copy of Speaker of the Dead i might let loose into the world as a starter.
Bookcrossing is a great way of passing your books onwards! How many books have you read, enjoyed but will probably never read again? if it is more than a few then Bookcrossing can help – either by Wildreleasing or through meetups!
Today I hided my book in a basket in the grocerystore. I found it quite exciting.
So definitaly worth doing
I just got a book I gave someone for Christmass ‘passed back’ to me. (with a reference to the Fraggles tossed in for good measure). I was given instructions to mmpmmp* “Pass it on!” I think this is where I’ll start with the bookcrossing.
I’ve been a bookcrosser for about three years. I’ve learned of great books and writers I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. I’ve also met many great people.
And I still love it! I have had couple of silent periods, but I always come back. It is like treasure hunt and it is also some sort of random act of kindness. I’ve found new friends via bookcrossing and certainly new books. I strongly recommend this!
Sarah is relaxing
I’ve joined the BCUK bookcrossing yahoogroup and have been to a few meets as well as joining some bookrays and rings.
I’ve even set up a OBCZ in my Mum’s cafe in Nottingham.
I’ve decided to try my hand at wildreleasing now and have changed my goal to reflect that.
