As you saw in my previous post this is almost finished. We’re hoping to get the curtains and maybe the blinds figured out this weekend. After that all we need to do is get the electrician in and buy the art and accessories. YAY!
Remodel my Bedroom
Well as I just posted in the weekend recap, this is underway. Here is our to-do list:
- Reroute electric – the overhead lights aren’t connected to the switch, not sure why they did that.
- Remove bumpy, annoying ceiling
- Remove ugly wall paper and border
- Prime & Paint walls and ceiling
- New bedroom furniture
- Add curtains
- New ceiling fan
- New storage containers, accessories, decor
- Add crown molding
I can say that we will have the crossed out finished by this week.
We set a date to start working on the bedroom. We’ve broken it down into segments. I sent off a sample of our textured ceiling to get it tested for asbestos. If that comes back clean we’ll be scraping the ceilings. If not, then we’ll be peeling wallpaper and painting. The weekend of March 28th is set for some kind of bedroom work.
StayRain La-De-Da
It’s going to look amazing!!!!! I will post a picture when I’m done with it.
I’ve been wanting to remodel my bedroom for a LONG time. It’s the only room in our house we haven’t touched and it’s in major need of help! I take that back, we did install new carpet when we did the rest of the house. Here’s the honey-do list.

We’re going with a Asian modern theme in brown/creme hues. Above is the beautiful comforter set we bought a few months ago.
Girl With A Jesus Need is letting go and letting God do what he does best.
...I can say this one is pretty much accomplished. Just a few finishing touches remain.
And of course, the task of keeping it looking just as wonderful as it does now. =)

My basement flooded (just in my room though) so I now have no choice but to do this. Heh heh. Joy. =)

I worked on this one Tuesday evening while hiding from a Mary Kay Cosmetics party my mom was (very uncharacteristically) having upstairs. My room looks more like an actual room now instead of a bed thrown into a small space (my “room” is very small). Woohoo!
Now I just need to redecorate and all that jazzzzz.
