learn to cable knit

He came home and wanted me to knit him a winter hat – the one pattern he liked had cables ~ my introduction to cabling!

I went out and bought cable needles and printed out the easiest pattern I could find. and it’s really easy. I don’t know why I was so intimidated.

I was sick of knitting plain boring scarves, so I decided to try my hand at cable knitting. It’s much easier than I had originally thought it would be! If you’re looking for an easy way to learn, check out ‘knitting and crocheting for dummies’- it was really simple to learn from that book!

First I need to get Cable needles, then I can follow the instructions I have found online. It doesn’t look hard, I just have no confidence in my knitting ability. I will get cable needles this month and I will at least knit a swatch with cables.
