Can’t decide whether or not to put “WORTH IT!” or “NOT WORTH IT!” on there, since really, can we honestly say that the main quest is all that important?
It took me about a year for me to even get around to even STARTING IT with any earnestness, much less finish it, and even though I’ve been playing it pretty much constantly for about four years, I’ve still only finished the main quest once.
Otherwise I just focus on playing around with my other characters doing a ton of other things. Becoming head of all the houses (with one as an Altmer Mage in House Redoran, which is as funny as you think it is), downloading and playing around with zillions of mods, just wandering around and finding cool stuff, all the works.
It’s a great game, of course. That’s why I put it down as worth it. Because just playing the game as you see fit is completely worth it.
