see my name in a movie credit.

Not exactly a movie, either. I “invested” in a project to produce a DVD of a live concert of a once-famous German band. I didn’t see a penny of it returned. The project ended up to be twice as expensive as originally expected, and then the guy in charge dropped the ball with sales and now there’s a basement full of unsold DVD’s somewhere. I don’t know where, because now that guy is officially listed as a missing person on a state law enforcement website. I suspect he committed suicide. I do believe he had more than one business venture go belly-up.

Anyhow, my name is listed as a producer in the credits. Awfully expensive for such a tiny thrill. Tough lesson to learn.

Seeing my name in the credits for Urban Legends 3 (first film I worked on) was SO exciting. I watched the credits over and over and over again just to see my name in black and white on the screen. I made all of my friends watch it and my family. It was just SO neat to me.
I think I will be less dorky this time when I’ll Always Know comes out. However, this time I am actually IN it as well. So I will probably be QUITE dorky about seeing myself in the film even though I will be able to control my dorkiness about the credits!
I’m a dork, what can I say!
