visit the bahamas

I went to the Bahamas about this time last year. It was a three-day cruise to Nassau, and it simply wasn’t long enough. Next time I visit, I’d like to fly as not to spend so much time on a boat, and actually experience more of what the Bahamas has to offer. I’d love to stay at the Atlantis hotel, that place was amazing.

We went on a cruise over there. It was awesome! We even met a local who showed us around and took us to a night club that not very many tourists are aware of. Port Lucaya is beautiful. The ocean there is 1000x more beautiful than the ocean here, in South Florida.

One odd thing I noticed was their tap water had a funny taste to it, almost tasted salty but not. Someone said it may be due to the limestone.

If you go to Port Lucaya, make sure to go on a snorkeling trip. We went at the 10:30 am one, and the underwater life was awesome. There was a very large school of 100+ fish that would swim around you and it felt like you were kind of included into their school. This is a MUST!

Remember sun screen and money! (The Bahamanian dollar is the equivalent of the American dollar, and they use them both interchangeably.)
