sprouts
just playing with sounds really
I love when language becomes music.
It happens not only in poetry:
yesterday I was watching “Some like it hot”
I love this film so much
I have watched it so many times I don’t even remember
but yesterday it was the first time I was watching it in German!
German is a funny language
it has very erotic sounds somehow
most of the time I have the feeling that everybody is very angry with me when they talk to me in German
but sometimes it’s just subdued, very calm and has these deep sounds in it, well
there’s this scene with Jack Lemmon sleeping in the wagon-lit
and repeating to himself “I’m a girl”
well, in german that’s: “ich bin ein Maedchen ich bin ein Maedchenich bin ein Maedchenich bin ein Maedchenich bin ein Maedchenich bin ein Maedchen” and the sound merges with the sound of the train in a way that’s not possible in any other language.
I am sure that next time I’m on the train I will be distincly hearing Jack Lemmon whispering in a whirl in my ear: “ich bin ein Maedchen”
{Turandot} is making plans
I got an article back with a note to cut it shorter
it’s 98000 characters now
no idea yet how much I have to cut it down to
but I started to cross everything I managed
I love this fight against unnecessary words, ideas and side thoughts
love making the sentences dry
