How to read all of Jane Austen's novels
How I did it: I had all of her books in my collection anyways, and after serious reading of other books I found myself drawn to Austen's funny intelligent banter. I picked up her books due to my natural interest and her stories captured me and made them some of the quickest reads on my shelves.

That i am going to borrow them from the library rather then purchasing them, just to be a bit more frugal. That way it helps with other goals also.

I love BBC versions of Jane Austen’s books but I have never actually read them. I really want to do this. Often the book is much better than what is on film :)

I just watched Lost in Austen, my dad bought me the dvd as it was on tv when I was in America and my parents thought I would love it. I did! It was marvellous.
The ending was a surprise, but a good one. I was so happy she ended up with Mr Darcy!
I love Jemima Rooper. When I was younger I wanted to be her because she played George from the Famous Five, and Bobbie in The Railway Children. And now she got to kiss Mr Darcy!
For as far back as I can remember, I have been embarrassed that I was not a big reader as a youth. My mom was not a reader, so neither was I. In recent years it has been a goal of mine to become a reader, and I do believe I have been successful in this venture. However, I feel sorely behind in my reading, due to the many years in which I did not read at all. Strangely enough, I was an English major, but my focus was on writing instead of literature. As a matter of fact, I survived the literature courses I did take in college largely because of my ability to fake my way through by use of sparknotes. So now, as I approach my thirties, I feel like I have done myself a disservice by not having read any of Jane Austen’s novels, which are regarded as classics. The women my age all talk about how timeless these novels are, and I blindly agree, having no clue what they are talking about. So now, it is my goal to read them. All of them.
