Flirt I just want to SCREAM!!!
I have tried to be so organized with this project, but sometimes you just have to accept that it’s not in the cards (pun intended). And if I don’t get done in time, I am going to cry. A lot. 2 years ago

I clean, declutter or organize something around the home. I’ve been doing it for a while, and it works!! The anger goes away (or almost), I’m not doing anything self-destructive, and I’m improving the quality of my life. I wish I had thought about that a long time ago. 3 years ago
got rid of his clutter. Our spare room looks completely different, and SO much BIGGER!!!!!!!!!!! 3 years ago
because he has no choice. Ha! Men sometimes need a little guidance. :) 4 years ago
and most days I don’t sleep well. However, I still work on this goal a little each day, and it makes me feel good about myself. Little things that may not make a difference to other people sure make a difference to me. This is what I can do and I’m proud of myself for doing it. 4 years ago

I can actually find stuff in less than 5 minutes because I know where things are in my office. WOW!!!! 4 years ago
that if I folded up my shopping list and put it in my pocket as I was walking out the door, that I would be able to find it when I got to the store. HA! Think again! 4 years ago
There must be a more consistent approach to this than the one I’ve been taking. My current project organizer involves breaking tasks up into “Continuous,” “Weekly,” and “Once Only.” I stole it from a friend. It works pretty well, but I’m also back to using a planner to schedule in dates and times. I ended up using the really attractive Frida Kahlo planner because at least it has pictures in it. This forces me to actually LOOK at the planner instead of closing it and losing it after I’ve written important dates and times down. “A little each day” is really key for me because I have a tendency to want to do everything all at once. This leads to procrastination and getting NOTHING done as opposed to chipping away at various projects to get them done eventually…
Then, of course, I put the really, really important dates into my phone just in case. It’s the only thing that works with me. Oh, the life of a true right-brainer. 4 years ago
Progress on this goal has been pretty slow, mainly because I’ve been lacking in two important ingredients – time and energy – the last two months. But things are slowly getting back to normal around here, so it’s full speed ahead!

I’m better at managing my time and getting things done. Careful planning, writing things down and doing a little each day are things that are helping me with this goal. 4 years ago
He organized half of his things in our “clutter room”. I’m convincing him to turn it into a guest room. I guess he’s listening. :) 4 years ago
Daily and weekly to-do lists have become a great help. They keep me focused and help me be realistic of how much I can do in a day / week, and the amount of time I probably will be spending in each activity. Plus, if I forget about something, a quick look on my list will remind me. 4 years ago
and I’m working on making it much less cluttered. 5 years ago
3 regular bags, plus a big one, completely full of things to be thrown away, and the room doesn’t look any different to me. It is still a big cluttered mess. :( 5 years ago
What a pleasant surprise to see the bookshelves organized. :D 5 years ago
As the clutter disappears I get more and more motivated and it becomes easier. 5 years ago
I should have stayed home, in bed. Instead I went to the office and reorganized everything (because it needed to be done, and I can’t count on my co-workers much). 5 years ago
Baby steps. Doing a little each day is making a difference already. Today I even convinced my husband to help. 5 years ago
He keeps so much junk that it makes the apartment look smaller. There’s one room here that practically contains only junk, HIS junk. He always says he’s going to do something about it and never does. Sometimes I feel like putting everything in bags and throwing them away. I’m not sure he would notice!!
Does anyone have a similar problem? Does anyone have a good suggestion? 5 years ago
I can’t afford not to be organized anymore. To keep my sanity I’ve learned to better manage my time, and I’m slowly finding places for all my stuff instead of leaving things around. It actually feels good when I want to get something and don’t have to look for it in 5 or 6 different places before I find it. This is a big change for me, a good one :) 5 years ago
to organize my computer files. I know I won’t be able to finish today, but I’m glad I’m not procrastinating this task. 5 years ago
