Read and journal on 10 Christian books in 2008

Looks like this year long goal might have been a bit short if I finished it before the end of June. Still that doesn’t mean that I won’t be reading anymore books this year just that I’ve read a lot more this year already than the past few years combined.

Hard to believe but I’m just started reading the 10th book.

Book 7 is now finished in under 24 hours since I’ve started it and I have book 8 set out now to start tomorrow.

Today I finished the 6th book and started the 7th :D

I’m just now starting to 5th book tonight, so my slow start and slacking appears to have been a think of the past now.

So far things are going fairly well as I near the halfway point of my third book. While ideally I’d like to be farther along than I am, its actually pretty good considering that after major slacking I started the second book less than a month ago. In a way its frustrating as I know that I can be reading through the books faster, but I’m glad that the note taking aspect is allowing me to get more out of the books long term even though its really slowing me down.

The books for this goal are not allowed to overlap with my assigned seminary reading. This goal is about personal enrichment not what I would have been doing anyway.
