Abigail has adopted a little Callie!
How I did it: I went to the Humane Society in my area and looked at all the cats and kittens there. This one was the most playful, and wasn't frightened. She was very loving. They kept her a week to make sure she was healthy after spaying her, then I picked her up and brought her home. I love her to death! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I'd wanted to adopt a cat for awhile. Many of my close friends and my boyfriend have cats and I wanted one too! My mother decided that she wanted to adopt a kitten (her partner has a cat that is definitely "his" cat, so she wanted one for herself). A work colleague let her know that a friend of his had kittens available, and my mom said she'd adopt one, and the colleague planned to adopt the sister. She s… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Fortunately, my mother's friend knew someone who were giving away kittens. I wanted to be there to choose the kitten I wanted, but it didn't really matter anyhow. She got the "best one". I was so excited when she brought a little ball of grey fur home to mama. :D Read how I did it…

How I did it: Adopted 2 kittens from the burwood RSCPA about a year ago. They cause so much trouble, ruin everything, but its definatly worth it in the end. Especially when they are super cute snuggling into you on your bed at night! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well...I'm sort of lying. They aren't kittens, they're fully grown cats. And there isn't just one, there's three. And I didn't go to a shelter to adopt them, I adopted them with my boyfriend to keep them from going to a shelter in the first place.Basically, my boyfriend's mom was moving and couldn't keep her three cats. We agreed to take all THREE (a huge number considering that I'm allergic!) in our apartment. They're the cutest, friendl… Read how I did it…

There are some things I must defer…If i plan to move to another country, it is not possible to leave it here or take it with me without having fixed co-ordinates.. so I’ll wait till I land up there and have a home for the kitten.
I had planned to adopt only one kitten, but I fell in love with two inseparable sisters. They entertain me, cuddle with me, and make me happy. I love them and adopting them was definitely the best decision I ever made.

Actually, I adopted about five without knowing it! Otter came to live with me, and when she moved in with us, I didn’t know she was pregnant. We ended up with 5 kitties. 4 + the mom. We found good homes for all of them except for the mom and one of the babies.
Ever since I was a kid, my mom adopted cats from the animal shelter. And when I moved out, I did the same thing. My first adopted cat was Anukis… but I called her Nuki for short.
Right now I have two cats, Sage and Eris. They are from the same litter, but are COMPLETE opposites.

In August, I’m going to get a kitten and name her Charley.

I haven’t been able to adopt a kitten because of the landlord… I’ll be moving to a new place in a few months so I’m holding out for a pet friendly house. :)
We went to go get him today!
He’s currently romping around my dorm room. I can’t wait to get him home to Houston.
I can’t really type any more because he’s going crazy over the sound of the keys and he really wants to eat them.
...I was looking at kittens in a pet store. (This is before I knew she was dead.)
There was one kitten in particular who I really connected with. He came over and started rubbing against my finger through the cage. He’s the runt, Spot was the runt, he was really outgoing, Spot was really outgoing… I left the store thinking how much he reminded me of Spot.
Then I got a call from my father late that night saying that Spot had died. I felt really guilty at first-I was kitten shopping as she was dying, after all-but the more I thought about it, the more I think it was kind of a sign. Like maybe this was Spot reincarnated.
I’m going back to get him sometime this week. I feel like it’s meant to be.
