It was in the Moscow TV tower that has since burned down. Quite a big deal, a few years ago. I remember passing on sardines while I was there.

It was the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls.

Sun Dial Restaurant 3 years ago

A few years ago while visiting Atlanta, I ate at the Sun Dial Restaurant. It’s located downtown in The Westin Peachtree Plaza, it has three levels. The veiw was stunning, and I would certainly go back and visit! I’ve included a pic I took of the view.

Not some of my more interesting experiences, but more like something that seemed like the novel thing to do at the times. Definately, the higher up you are, the more interesting the views (though spinning slowly in circles while eating or trying to talk can be slightly disconcerting); waterfronts are okay, especially if there is activity in the harbor. I have been to several of these types of places beginning when I was a child (and continuing into adulthood). Maybe I am jaded from being exposed so young but I never found this milestone particularily interesting, either. [Agrees with travelmickey] I suppose if I found just the right spot with just the right combination of food and services, I would be more inclined toward spending time there. So far, however, because views were better than food (typically), I am more inclined to dine well someplace and then seek out a more private “after-dinner” vista.

It was at the CN tower in Toronto. Pretty sweet seeing the land just stretch outaround and below. then there’s the glass floor, which is even cooler. you’re looking down at the ground way way way beneath your feet.

I did this last night 3 years ago

I took my family, who are visiting us, to Al Dawaar which is Dubai’s only revolving restaurant. It was certainly novel and I could feel it revolving – but it’s the sort of thing you only would do once.

    In Vegas 4 years ago

Stratosphere Top of the World. That was a great night, gorgeous veiws and good food/wine. Definitely recommend going there.
