This is still hard... 17 months ago

Getting back into “career clothes” that I wore back in the day (which was a Wednesday, by the way) is slightly depressing. I weigh about the same as I did then, but my body is just shaped differently. Pants hang in places they didn’t once… shirts too.

I just keep looking at that little man & say to myself – It’s all worth it. ALL OF IT.

The Shape of a Mother 18 months ago

I love this site http://www.theshapeofamother.com/ and it has been a great inspiration for me… I had always been “petite” before becoming pregnant. During the time I carried my son, I was sure that my overstretched tummy and oversized breasts would forever change my body. Even my feet seemed to grow and stretch.
After I gave birth, the 67 (yes, 67!) lbs I had gained just melted off during those first three months post-partum. However, my body will never look or feel the same – and this site has helped me to realize that I am not ‘freakish’ or ‘ruined’ but I am a mother now, and for that I would not take back my previous body. Not for all the money or all the love in all the world.
