Absolutely go, go, go! 3 years ago

I had no idea what to expect, which is really the only way to see it – don’t even bother to try to imagine how they’ve done it.
I’ve see lots of theater, big Broadway productions, and this is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.

(If you can, get the seats we had – dead center about 10 rows back in the orchestra) Perfect.

Lord of the Rings was awesome! It was like the movies, the books, The Lion King (Broadway), and Cirque du Soleil all rolled into one. And somehow they managed to do all 3 books in 4 hours and it didn’t feel rushed or like we were sitting there forever. Amazing.

those words, “giving up”, at times, at other times they are all too beautifully poetic. I’ve made a decision that family comes before everything but God and so, giving up the $4000 pleasure it would have been to take my entire (6 person) family up to Toronto for a few days and see this show, the impending, unplanned visit of two more relatives unseen for the past five years becomes much more important. So long Toronto! So long dear musical! Perhaps another time….

not gonna happen. I signed up for a missions trip to the Dominican Republic with my youth group ($2000), am starting college in the fall (at least $3000 of my own money) and the final straw: my grandparent’s who haven’t been to see us in 5 years, are coming for a 6-week stay all of a sudden right smack dab in the time frame of possibility for this goal to be acheived. Ah well. I’m sure it would’ve been great, but family comes first. :D

On second thought... 3 years ago

Well, this goal probably isn’t going to happen now, but I’m strangely undisappointed. Hmm. Ah well. Never say never, right?

I know it may be “bad luck” to say it but so far so good! I can’t believe my mom even agreed to let me go…looks like we’re going to turn it into a week-long family vacation. [sounds of exhultation] Can’t wait! I get to be the official Family Vacation Planner in the meantime…fun fun fun!

    Toronto’s Princess Alexandria Theatre…here I come!
