There’s a casino in town I have frequented for many years. They have great food at low prices and lots of promotional offers for locals. One of their attractions is a free “swipe and win” game for their Players Club members. Supposedly it is possible to win $50,000, although I don’t think anyone has ever done so.

Anyway, every time I go there for dinner, I swipe my card in the machine hoping to be lucky. Usually I win nothing, but on three or four occasions over the years I have won a free personal pizza, which is nice. Last night I swiped my card and saw a cash amount flash on the screen … $50 prize! No, it wasn’t the big one, but $50 is a step up from pizza.

Hey, this is great, I thought, as the machine printed out my voucher to take to the Players Club for redemption. The woman working there congratulated me and said she had not seen many $50 prize winners. I thanked her, and then she gave me my reward … a $50 Chevron gas card. LOL.
