Learn to make bubble tea

See, this isn’t on my normal shopping list, especially the really large ones. Regular tapioca is a favorite of my husband, so he’s gunna like the large ones, right? I am hoping he will like this new dessert-like treat for this summer.

... my plan is to mess about with hot sugar syrup and condensed milk & invent something heavenly!

I never made bubble tea before. Any help & advice would be appreciated. In London you can only buy it in a couple of places & they don’t prepare it in front of you.

I bought the tapioca pearls at the local chinese supermarket near acton.
The pearls in the bubble tea I’ve had before were black. Hope these clear ones work just as well.

Does anyone know why they are different colours???
