Inspired by the first set, I have ordered blinds for two more rooms. I am grateful for the decorator saleslady, “Oatmeal looks so much better than cream…” Not my strength. I’ll be glad to remove the homemade curtains that were supposed to be temporary 5 years ago.
How to have a nice home
How I did it: I'm marking this goal as done for several reasons.
1. I know it will take a really long time, if not eternity, to make my home perfect.
2. But I am on the right way, I do something for it every day, and every day it grows better and better,
3. But no matter how good (clean, comfortable, fashionable) it is now, I've already grown to love it. After living here almost for 2 months I really feel that this is MY HOME, that I'm not a guest here. When I visit my parents' house now, I feel more like a guest there. I love it with all my heart, and love it more and more with every improvement.
4. So, I continue making my home better, but it is already nice for me, and I feel calm and cosy here.

First of all I need a normal workplace. With all my books and notes and old diaries and cute little things… Ooohhh can’t wait till the new table arrives next week.
A lot of things need to be bought, and a lot of cleaning needs to be done. But we’re not without improvements:)
We should have done this a long time ago. The office looks so much better. The library curtains are a huge improvement. I wonder what I’ll try next? A couch? A rug?
Seven years ago, we moved into a new house with no curtains. Curtains are expensive! And time consuming! But the fabric shades and custom blinds will look so much nicer than the pillows, paper, IKEA curtains and other temporary solutions currently cluttering our library and office.
I am hopeful that Cathy is the answer to the recycle vs. replace dilemma. Cathy took away the two chairs with the worn fabric and a check for $70 to resurface them both. She has also quoted both worn couches. I still need to pick fabrics.
I live with my boyfriend, who owns his home. It’s pretty drab and always looks dirty. This goal is about wanting to improve the look and feel of the home. He wants to add on in a couple years.. I want to redo EVERYTHING lol.
Who doesn’t want to have a home that you and other people feel comfortable in?
