Although we didn’t make it out of state, we thoroughly enjoyed our eighth anniversary festivities. : )
Since the weather on Saturday was PERFECT (77 Farenheit, puffy clouds, cool breeze), we headed to Chaska to visit the MN Landscape Arboretum for a few hours, after having dinner at Big Bowl in Minnetonka.
The Arboretum was FANTASTIC. Maintained by the University of MN, the variety of flowers, trees, and shrubbery was staggering – not to mention the beautiful landscaping arrangements.
After strolling the grounds for a few hours, we stopped in to visit my mom, who also lives in Chaska. She has rediscovered gardening this year, and it was great to see the profusion of flowers on her deck. : )
All in all – a great eighth anniversary! :D

This June, we MAY celebrate in North Carolina…
...that is, if we can find reasonable airfare! Given the merger between Delta and NWA, rising fuel prices, etcetera, ticket prices have shot up into the exosphere.
ugh.
Of course, we were already planning an exploratory mission to NC – to include such delights as meetings with real estate agents and scoping out suitable neighborhoods – since we plan to move down there next year, so we might as well incorporate our anniversary festivities! :)

Plan A was to go to a Bed and Breakfast in St Augustine. But now we are thinking an Inn on the beach for the weekend.
