That I’ve made a separate goal: web design. I’m adding it here as well because I’m not sure if I’m going to keep the goal right now.

Somewhat odd...  — 3 months ago

But now I’m curious about sod. It was a fascinating thing today to watch my brother-in-law’s yard go from dirt to green, lush grass in 6 hours. I want to know how they grow it and cut it so that it can be rolled and transported. Yeah, it isn’t earth-shattering stuff, but I’m just feeling curious now.

American Sign Language  — 3 months ago

I’m kind of already working on this a bit with my son. At the direction of a therapist that was working with him, we started signing simple things: “please”, “open,” “more”, etc. The two of us are expanding things now, and I’m repeating the words verbally, in the hopes that eventually he’ll get used to the words and stop signing and simply SAY them. Still, it is great to have some communication with him so I’m going to continue with this.

I also have taken one semester of ASL in college and I want to learn more.

    Thoreau  — 6 months ago

I’ve come across Thoreau’s name many times on 43T, often mentioned or quoted by people whose opinions I respect. Today I came across this series of entries, which have convinced me this is someone I need to read.

Julie’s question about soulmates and the threads it started. I can’t keep up with it right now, but really want to read all of it.
