read more books instead of watching tv

I have read so much in the last two months.
Here’s my list. Some of the books were a disappointment.
Push not the river – Good
Lovely bones – Good
Life of Pi – Awful
Brooklyn – Awful
What we keep – Good
These books were sitting on my shelf and were shorter reads and by not watching TV instead sitting after dinner when Michael watched TV and while relaxing during the day, I have a new habit. Now I am looking for a new book.

I finished this book last week. It’s a story of the lives of two Afghanistan Women. The sacrifices they have to make. The writer is a man Khaled Hosseini who wrote the kite runner. Even though the book is a fiction, the writer gives us an idea of what it would be like to be a woman in Afghanistan.
After finishing the book I can somewhat understand how many people in the eastern Moslem countires find the westerners to be a threat to their culture. A culture ingrained in their very identities.
I could not put the book down. Read it in three days.
