only use the internet when I'm 'supposed to'

Ok so I don’t know what’s been going through my head recently but for some reason I’ve been thinking it’s ok to just use the internet in my apartment. Well IT’S NOT! First off, it’s a rule Master’s has. Second it’s a rule I have. What the junk makes me exempt from either of those?!
For the past week or so I’ve been checking e-mail and chatting at my apartment. NOT COOL.
And with that confession, I say: NO MORE!!!

I broke my own(and master’s actually) rule again. The past two nights I’ve used the internet at my apartment to look up things on biblegateway. But that was just because I needed to find some verses and didn’t really have time to look at every page of the Bible to find it.
Oh well. I’ll try harder next time.

I broke my own rule. But only a little bit and for a good reason. I had to e-mail my scripture study to my grader so it wouldn’t be late. There would have been no other time for me to e-mail it. I’m sure if I would have thought hard enough, I could have avoided this situation.
Nevertheless, the goal stays up. Just because I failed once, doesn’t mean it isn’t still my goal!

So one of the guidelines of Masters is that they don’t want students using the internet at the DTC (our housing). They ask this of us for some pretty good reasons. But openly and completely admit that I don’t have a very strict adherence to this guideline. I use the internet at the DTC more than I use the internet at church. Well, lately I’ve been noticing how much I really use the internet and it’s getting in the way of a lot of things. So from now on I will not use the internet at the DTC. This will be hard because the church has myspace and facebook and youtube firewalled. And the nearest open wifi I know of is well out of my way and I can’t afford to use extra gas just to check my myspace.
All in all this will be a good thing for me.
