How to live at the beach
How I did it: I first experienced "residing in proximity to water" when I went to camp as a junior high kid. I loved the access to water, and the peacefulness of sitting beside it. A few years later, I began working at the camp as waterfront director. A few years later, I took a job as a wilderness ranger in the boundary waters canoe area wilderness, renting a home near Lake Superior. At that point, I found my affinity to big water.
Then, I moved to another state where I could make regular visits to the ocean. I liked this, but it wasn't quite the same as the inland seas. And it was far from home. So I began looking for work adjacent to the great lakes, and soon found myself back there. And I'm still there!
As to "living at the beach," that exact part happened "accidentally," as a result of meeting and falling in love with someone who happened to live beside the water. (Okay, define "beach!" If you're thinking of the tropics, we're not there! But we've got water, and we've got sand, so in my book that's "the beach," even if it IS frozen for 5 months each year!)

can I do for income at the beach? Lifeguard, scuba instructor, work at resort… None of these sit well with me. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I wanna live at the beach because it is a place to swim and i love to swim. And there is bautiful fish and shells and alot of other stuff.
Even if it’s just for a little while, I want to do this at some point in my life
A place where I can fall back on whenever I just want to relax after working hard in reality. It would be like paradise all the time. I love the sunny days and laying in the sand. One day hopefully
My goal in life is to move to Central/South America and be on the beach. And speak Spanish all the time!!!
yespositively Should be reading!
of taking the train to the beach this weekend. It’s winter, but it’d cold and miserable in the city—might as well be cold where I can hear the ocean. There is a hostel two blocks off of the beach that’s super cheap and I could get some reading done, overdose on coffee and maybe bring the laptop and get some journaling done. It’s not quite living there, but that’s not really an option for a while. I’ll take what I can get.

San Pedro, CA—an awesome town with great beaches. I lived there for 15 months and I’m going back this summer!
and want to live there. We’d love to move now, but can’t just yet. We both love the beach and the weather associated with it…Wilmington, NC is what we are thinking right now.
