I've bitten the Apple! 2 years ago

It took a little getting used to, but I can’t believe I waited as long as I did. The change has been good!

I bought my Powerbook with my tax refund in 2005, and it’s great. I still use Linux and FreeBSD on my servers, and I still have a FreeBSD desktop at work, but my Mac is my main computer, and I don’t anticipate that changing anytime soon.

Well worth doing, I’m now almost 100% Windows free. I sold all of my PC hardware and now use an iMac and Macbook—if I need to run Windows programs (rarely) then I use a VMware virtual machine.

why it took so long 2 years ago

my fear was that it’d be hard to find good freeware, shareware, and otherwise (cough cough)

turns out not to be true. i am much happier and productive with my computer time now that i’ve made the switch.

    highly recommended.

    you’ll never look back.

but you will regret the piercing, as mac users don’t need holes in their faces to be hip ;)
