get into johns hopkins

It’s depressing here. Especially if you’re engineering (or maybe just if you’re engineering).

let me elaborate briefly:
1) there’s too much work.
2) everyone is obsessed about grades
3) there’s nothing to do here
4) if there is, no one wants to go do it (see #2)
5) Biomedical engineering has deflated grades- it will F@#$ your GPA, in case you’re interested in applying to med school with this major…
6) everyone here’s resume is ungodly. think you’re the shit in your highschool? come here and you won’t be able to stand out worth jack.
7) it’s depressing- surrounded by work, people thinking about work, and people doing work. wanna party? drinking by yourself is called alcoholism. (ok, some slight exaggeration here, but it’s mostly true on friday and saturday nights, and always true Sunday through thrusday).

All i can hope is that the future classes will be able to change this campus mentality.

Hooray! JHU class of 2012! :D

I want to go here for graduate school, provided that I get accepted.
It’s several years away though, but it’s good to start early.

Didn’t get in! and surprisingly, I’m not that sad.. I saw it coming and prepared myself for the worst.
Anyway, I never dwell on the past! I’m just hoping to hear from my other colleges soon!

I dont think I can get in :(
As of now, the application number for freshman RD has increased to 14,840. I dont think I was able to express enough interest for the school.!
I dont have the ability to do that on a piece of paper.. Maybe I dont deserve to go because I dont have that simple ability to express my ideas on paper.
If only they knew how much I loved them..

But I dont think i’ll get in – my grades are pretty bad – top 15% (i thought I was gonna be top 5% lol), and average ECs.
Recs will be sent hopefully by tomorow. I’ve been working on the essays for like a friggin decade and still havent come up with anything decent :(

To get in would be one thing, even if I don’t go! I’d have to take my whole family with me. I’d be homesick. But it’s the best med school. Decisions, decisions…
