I wouldn’t say that I’m reading classics, but I’ve started reading actual books again and hope to continue.
How to read for fun
How I did it: This semester wasn't as hard as my last one so I finally had time to go read for fun. I just looked checked out a few at the library and voila! Book worm. Man, I missed the library. :)

Once upon a time, I loved books and I always had my nose in them… it’s been so long, I’m starting to miss them!
i tried to make time to read for fun again over my break but couldnt get to it… when i was ordering my books for school i also ordered some books just to read… currently i’m reading “eating in the dark” about GMFs since i’m not too busy w/ work yet…. i plan on rereading some of mitch albom’s books whenever i find them again i love his work.
Megi53 is relaxing!
I was slogging through One Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz and hating it; and my nonfiction alternate, House Thinking, was making me feel bad since I don’t have a dining room, entry, loft, den, view, etc.
I started Wolff’s 1991 YA book not expecting to enjoy it, but it improved after the first 25 pages. I’m zipping through it effortlessly, like I used to do when I was a younger reader. It’s inspired me to look for Mozart’s Concerto No. 4 when I get my annual Amazon certificate (I have No. 3, heroine Allegra’s alternate selection).

If one signs up for many of these, they restrict one’s reading choices waayyy too much.
As of now (end of 2007) I’m signed up for six rings/rays (three of which are stalled) and only one 3-month-long challenge. It’s called a Set-It-Yourself Reading Challenge! Perfect for me, and I’m sooo looking forward to it.
One thing that still bothers me relative to this goal is that I have many, many books I really don’t want to read any longer. Some of them have such small print that it’s seriously uncomfortable to try. But I can’t make myself get rid of them, because they were gifts (“RABCKs”).
My big success this summer! Yay for commuting and reading on the train.
I read more this summer than I have in years and it felt good. The last book I was reading before going back up to Deis was Time and Again by Jack Finney, but I never finished it. It’s just staring at me on the shelf in my room.
8/7 The Girl’s Guide to Hunting & Fishing by Melissa Bank
I like it, it was nice to read a well-written, light, funny book that wasn’t tragic.
