take a cruise around the world

With my future husband when we get old

This is a goal for the Geritol generation. I want to see more of the world that I haven’t seen….plain and simple.

They had a little travel rack with all of the different cruises that they offer. The only way I would be able to cruise around the world would be to wait for the kids to grow up, retire, then save up a butt-load of cash :(
But the it occurred to me. I could just keep taking all of the small trips to different places like we have been doing and they will add up to a trip covering the whole world :)

And I want to do this with someone FUN! I love going on cruises, they are the best way to travel, you do not have to keep packing up your stuff and you know where to have dinner every night.

From London (South Hampton) to Bisbane (Australia) is only $10,000 (entire Atlantic and Pacific). Then from Brisbane to Europe is only another $5000. So for about $15,000 USD, you can have a cruise around the world (in about 50 nights). Although, the accomidations wouldn’t be very posh, and there is probably heaps of incidental costs…. but it is a cruise around the world! It cost about as much as a semester at a decent college, and would probably do more to shape you as a person.

I’ve seen ads for year long cruises around the world aboard the QEII for $300,000…first class all the way with many glamorous ports of call. If I suddenly came into heaps of money I would go this route. I’ll do a cheaper route in a few years if I’m not this rich by then.
