Texas Lin is very grateful for the wonderful people in my life
I love Laura Ashley decorations and chintz and all kinds of beautiful flowers. In the past I made flower arrangements that matched curtains and wallpapers out of silk. They were beautiful.
I will make a few of those but keeping some fresh flowers in my special vases will be a nice touch. I can always find pretty arrangements at the grocery store.

will be a perfect addition to my night stand. I used to have faux crystal lamps – I think I will find some real ones this time.
Have I told you how much I love roses and crystal? They make me smile :)

This is an important one.
In this world where everything has to have the right look and nobody has the time for anything, we have concocted some strange practices.
A bouquet of fresh flowers says something. It says someone took some time and put these flowers here. They didn’t do it last year, they did it sometime in the past week. They used some creativity to arrange them. They took some time to water them. These flowers grew up under watchful care in sunshine and fresh air.
If you believe as I do that all living things give off energetic emanations that persist in all the things they give time and attention to, then this is a big deal. You may be too dense to understand just why those flowers appeal to you, but the appeal is undeniable.
Try getting that out of silk plants

giant ones in red white and pink. My flower lady gave me a tall sunflower as a good customer bonus. My house looks bright and pretty.

caught sofie closing up. bouquet of one red rose, one iris, and some fall-colored mums and other yellow stuff. Looks splendid in the sunlight from kitchen window. threw out the shrivelly tulips—two weeks is WAY too long—one week is exactly right. I just have to make a point of buying them on Fri.

Every Friday from now until the end of the calendar year.
That’s a measurable goal.
Starting today.
