Wish Mahajoma a New Job, New City, New Beginnings Birthday on January 25!

I googles “Best Picture Ever”, and this is what I got.

to thank you all for your great wishes and greetings for my birthday, I was genuinely surprised and delighted to hear from so many people over the weekend. As most of you already know, I moved house this weekend, so let me describe how it went down for you, since so many people asked how my day was.

My birthday actually started on Thursday, since I work over night, so I was at work at midnight as the 25th ticked over…we had cake at 2.30am!! I got up at about 2.30pm on Friday, a bit early really, I have been trying to stay asleep until 4pm, but there you go. I picked up the keys to my new place (which I have now officially moved into) and then me and a couple of mates went to the pub for dinner. I went straight to work from there and got home at about 8am on Saturday. I got myself packed up at the place I have been staying at and then drove out to the airport to meet the friends who helped me move for breakfast, and to pick up a truck. We drove out to the Barossa, about 80 minutes at that time of day, and put as much stuff as we could in the truck then brought it down to the new place. Then we went back to their place for dinner and I stayed there overnight. Saturday was a national holiday here (Australia day) so everyone has a BBQ. I finally got to bed at 9.30pm after a 31 hour day working and moving house…ouch!!

On Sunday I had a slow start, and me and the same frienda went up to the Barossa again to clean the house ready to hand over the keys. We went to the pub for dinner and I had farewell to the Barossa drinks with a large group of friends. Slept in the Barossa ands then got up at 7.30 this morning to finish cleaning, and bring the last trailer load of stuff down here. I start work at 11pm tonight, so another long day really. No matter, I am here now, so it is all over.

So that was my birthday. Thank you all so much for taking the time to say hello and offer your congratulations and so on. NOw I have moved I should be around a bit more often, I have been a little scarce recently.

Today Mahajoma was moving into his new flat. Of course with the time difference it was actually yesterday at this point, or is it tomorrow? That pesky international date line always screws something up. Mahajoma on the other hand never seems to mess things up. Here are my birthday wishes for him for the coming year:

May he have continued success with his new job and location, so that it will afford him the opportunity to visit his mates in England or Canada. May he learn new recipes so that he can feel comfortable creating a meal from scratch. And may new languages come easily to him as he learns them, especially sign language.
