It’s kind of interesting how I’m picking people to support. I want to support women who are in business.
I picked Central America because I believe they need help. However, I was surprised to find that many of the women asking for loans just wanted to add onto their house. I have no right to say you can’t do that, I just don’t want my kiva dollars going to something like that. So I dug a bit further and finally found two women who are taking loans out to improve their businesses.

I’ve just been notified that two more Kiva loans have been partially repaid.
I’m still trying to figure out how this works. I initially thought all had been repaid…and it took me awhile to figure out that the money they paid back had to be split among all the people who loaned them money, people like me.
