~Lady-of-Shalott~Countess Purrs Like a Kitten is going to hand in all her homework ahead of schedule
Well after speaking to “the Boss” who is also known as “the Bloke” or “my husband” I have decided that this is going to be a lengthy affair.
First step is to do some snorkling (on his advice) to get used to wearing the mask and fins and blah blah. So we’ve decided to start buying the things we need now wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkle and get them ready for use as the weather warms up. Then we’ll spend the summer holidays (Dec- Jan) out swimming and snorkling around. If and only IF I can handle that then he is prepared totake some time off work and we’ll go together and do the Dive course.

I have found a place up North that offers a 3 hour ecoadventure tour which includes a scenic cave walk, suspension bridge crossing and a zip line finale! The cost is $95 which seems reasonable for the experience but hubby is not interested in doing it and I’m not sure what kind of arrangements I could make for the kids….hmmmm….

I’ve decided to add “learn to scuba dive” to this list.
My bloke always talks about diving so fondly and with such awe, and I think this would be another good thing for us to do together. I want to do this fairly soon before I start travelling so we can dive all over the world.

- parasail
- zip line

- wear a two-piece bathing suit & have toned abs (heck, toned everything)
- have a New York style wardrobe & the shopping trip to match
- knit like a pro so I can teach my kids how to (a.k.a. knit something other than a scarf or a blanket)
- complete all my craft memory projects (baby/child journals, shadow boxes, art books, family tree, etc.)
- take ice skating lessons (my kids are now better than me!)
- continue running and become good at it (run another 5K and better my time)
- become a more confident swimmer & learn how to dive properly
- re-learn CPR & keep it updated

Okay, I am re-evaluating my goals here again & this one defenately should be at the top of my “list”.
I have to say, I have done a lot of amazing things in my life. If I were to die tomorrow, I think I would have no regrets. Other than past mistakes, I have made great strides to correct my path and make better choices.
Some of the things on my Bucket List, I know, can not be done right now. Time and money prevent that, but they will continue to be a pleasant dream.
I’ve decided to put the most important into an immediate list, as there are times I feel I need to get through these…
Immediate List:
1. See my dad soon
2. Get a comfortable boat
3. Get a new Kayak
4. Surf, Surf, Surf!
5. Plan our next trip to Hawaii
6. Decorate our home to make us feel as though we are home, feel comfortable & take refuge in the fact this is where we will be for a long time.
7. Go vegetarian
8. Find local zip lines
9. Fly our kite & learn to control it!
10. Decide if we should move back or not…
More to come I am sure.
Lis reflecting and making better choices in life.
Okay, I’ve heard about the movie and it sounds like a great one to watch. The conversations that I have had about the movie really have been interesting to say the least. I have found out things about my friends and family that I didn’t have a clue about, their dreams.
Some are so simple to achieve but haven’t taken the time to do it or so far out there that I’m stunned that they even thought of wanting to experience it. LOL. :)
I’ll continue to be amazed by others “Bucket List”. Mine, I’m going to start with the few I have in mind and hopefully, list some that will be exciting and that even amaze myself in wanting to experience it.
My Bucket List:1). Visit the Grand Ole Opry
2). Vacation in Morocco.
3). Walk a 5k marathon
4). Spend time at a quiet lake-house and read in a hammock.
5). Attend a women’s spiritual Bible retreat.
6). Own a car that fits me – one that I pick out the make and color.
7). Have a girls only weekend filled with laughter, drinks, fine food and great conversations about the past and future.
8). Grow roses – Plant and grow beautiful roses. Each bush in memory of a loved one.
9). Make great margaritas.
10). A romantic get-a-way with Raymond.
11). Teach a Woman’s Bible Study
12). Celebrate August 27th – In a loving, passionate and meaningful way.
